I'm Mike Lay a professional surfer and amateur cyclist from Cornwall in the UK. I'm embarking on a bikepacking odyssey that will eventually see me cycle and surf around the whole of Britain, a clockwise circumnavigation that I aim to complete in stages over the next few years.
This video is the first in the series and documents the painful journey from my house to Gwithian beach in West Cornwall. It was far from easy... the cycling was hard, the trailer kept breaking and I've never made a video before, but blimey I had a good time (minimal 'good time' footage in the video).
