Описание: I've been meaning to do this video forever, mostly because it's the one thing I harp on (or drone endlessly about!) for beginners and novice wingers more than anything, including how to get up on foil. Without the ability to sail (off foil) upwind reliably, you're not only potentially putting yourself in a dangerous situation downwind from land, but you also expend unnecessary energy either having to self-rescue or perform the dreaded "walk of shame" on an endless spiral as you try (and more than often fail) to take off and get flying. In this video, I cover my technique and favorite tips for wingsurfing upwind like a boss. By mastering the upwind sail, you'll reduce anxiety about getting sent downwind or having to march back to your beach, paddle less, and instead be able to focus on what you actually need to be doing to get onto foil, comfortable in the fact that, if you miss, no big deal-- just enjoy a leisurely sail back to the start line and try again!
