Breaking News! Ireland Work Permit New Minimum Salary 2025

BIG BREAKING NEWS for everyone planning to move to Ireland!

The Irish Government has officially announced a major increase in minimum salaries for work permit holders starting from **March 1, 2025**:

🔥 New Minimum Salaries (from March 2025):
General Employment Permit → €36,605 per year (previously €34,000)
Critical Skills Employment Permit → €40,904 (previously €38,000)
Care Workers, Meat Processors, Healthcare Assistants & Horticulture Workers → €32,691 (previously €30,000)

These increases will continue gradually every year until **2030**.

However, Irish Trade Unions are NOT happy!
They say the salary hike is way lower than originally promised (almost half of what was proposed earlier) and warn that the “cheap labour tap” will still keep flowing for employers.

Will this make Ireland better or tougher for Pakistanis, Indians, and other migrant workers?
