Описание: American Poolplayers Association (APA) members often get stuck at at a skill level of 3 have difficulty running more than one or two b alls at a time. One of the main factors is fundamentals. But even when the player does not have major stroke flaws, they may have difficulty establishing a reshot routine, and they often have difficulty aiming the cue ball ado it contacts the object ball at the correct location. Here PBIA/ACS instructor Jim Brauker discusses aiming in pool with Robin Hamlet, who is currently at an APA 3 level. Robi9n has quite good stroke fundamentals but has not yet established a fully repeated pre-shot routine. Aiming is something that many pool[players think is most often responsible for their missed shots, but this is usually not the case. For example, most players, when faced with a long straight in shot have difficulty pocketing it even though they know exactly where the aiming point is. Fundamentally, as described in this video, aiming of the cue ball at the object ball is a matter of feel and instinct. using mechanical means or measurements to aim the cue ball usually leads to delay of advancement in skill level. Time at the table repeating shots until the player feels how to hit the ball is necessary for consistent success and can only be achieved with table time and repetition. It also entails understanding what the mirror image relationship of the cue ball and object ball when they make contact with each other.
