From my VHS recordings, here are the promos and bumpers (with the occasional commercial) from Fox Kids in the Late Spring/Summer of 2000. I started recording Digimon around the end of the first season (around early May of 2000). The first season finished airing in June of 2000. I spent the summer recording all of the first season (which aired in reruns over the course of the summer). I don't have full commercial breaks, but this still gives you a picture of what Fox Kids was like in the Summer of 2000.
It was also right around this time that Fox Kids introduced a short-lived Friday programming block called "Anime Invasion" (featuring a line-up devoted to their anime shows, with unique bumpers, some of which are featured here). I think the "Anime Invasion" block/bumpers lasted just a year (I don't think they lasted all the way until Fox Kids ended in 2002, but I could be wrong).
Included here:
1. Fruit Roll-Ups commercial (featuring "Galaxy Blast" theme roll-ups. Partial commercial, missing the first few seconds)
2. "The Simpsons" quick promo (for the syndication run - "Weekdays at 5")
3. Fox Kids/Digimon bumper (this is the first Digimon bumper I recorded)
4. "Go-Gurt" commercial (partial)
5. The "Saban Entertainment" end bumper (which always aired at the end of any Saban Fox Kids show).
6. Digimon end credits (featuring a promo for the Digimon "Dark Masters" saga, and a promo for "Flint the Time Detective")
7. Fox Kids bumper (brain speed question). Each commercial break starts and ends with these type of "question and answer" segments.
8. Fox Kids bumper ("smile" question and answer)
9. Digimon "Dark Masters Saga" promo
10. Digimon end credits (featuring a promo for "Flint the Time Detective" and "Monster Rancher")
11. Fox Kids bumper ("growing body parts" question and answer)
12. Digimon promo (for the 2-part Season 1 finale)
13. Digimon end credits (featuring a promo for "Angela Anaconda" - "new to Fox Kids!" and "Flint the Time Detective")
14. Fox Kids "Anime Invasion" block promo ("Every Friday Afternoon!")
15. Fox Kids "Anime Invasion" bumper
16. Fox Kids/Digimon bumper ("Would your mom let you keep me?")

Commentary: I remember growing somewhat tired with Pokemon around the time of "The Orange Islands League" (the 2nd season of Pokemon). I discovered Pokemon late in 1998 and watched all the way through to the Indigo League tournament story arc at the end of 1999, but then came the 2nd season in early 2000 and the realization that....nothing much was going to change. Ash was just going to keep going around collecting Pokemon and having hijinks with Team Rocket.
I started channel searching and I remember discovering promos for "Digimon" on Fox Kids. This was toward the end of the 1st season (the "Dark Masters" story arc) and i remember thinking "Sounds like the fate of the world is at stake. This sounds a little more serious than Pokemon". I did keep on tuning in to Pokemon at certain times, but....I ended up loving that first couple seasons of Digimon.
Stay tuned, more to come!
