Описание: Sharday Cable-Ranapia, Ngāti Awa, is healing from the loss of her 25-year-old husband Josh from Ewing Sarcoma, by becoming a death doula, helping whānau care for their deceased using tikanga Māori as an alternative to funeral homes. Ruth Gerzon's Funeral Guides Collective helps the community take care of funeral arrangements, relieving some of the financial strain associated with funeral costs. Gillian Boyes, Funeral Directors Association, is asking the Government to raise the WINZ funeral grant. This story first aired on 31/7/2023.
