The Helms Deep Battle, also known as The Siege of Helm’s Deep, is one of the most iconic battles in fantasy history, featured in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
This legendary siege took place on March 3–4, 3019 of the Third Age, during the War of the Ring. The forces of Rohan, led by King Théoden, defended the ancient fortress of Helm’s Deep against a massive army of Uruk-hai commanded by Saruman.
Despite being heavily outnumbered, the defenders held the walls through a long night of brutal siege warfare. At dawn, the arrival of allied riders turned the tide of battle.

Defeated: Saruman’s Uruk-hai army
Casualties: Heavy losses on both sides, with the attacking army nearly annihilated
