Should You Buy Gold? The Truth About Investing In Gold

Описание: When I was younger, I remember looking up into the sky and seeing a beautiful rainbow, and I wondered ‘where does the rainbow end?’. I could see the bend across the sky, but I couldn’t see where it touched down on earth? And at some point, I was told that it’s really hard to find the end of the rainbow - so hard, that little creatures called ‘Leprechauns’ hide their pots of gold there, where no one can find it.

The mythical stories about Leprechauns go something like this - back in the year 795 AD, Vikings invaded Ireland. These Vikings brought gold with them, that they’d stolen - and they buried them all around the country. Eventually, they left Ireland and left a lot of gold behind. The little Leprechauns found the gold, but knowing that it came from Vikings, aka humans, and that it was stolen, they assumed all humans were bad. So they re-buried the gold where no humans could ever find it. And because humans can’t find the end of rainbows, that means the gold is where the rainbow ‘ends’.

And even though this is just a myth, the fact that humans are kind of obsessed with gold is very much based in reality. Gold was literally so important to humans that we based our entire monetary system on it, and even today, we still ‘invest’ in gold - but is it actually worth investing in? Will it help protect your money?
