I went to Dick's Sporting Goods to find a second rod for beach and jetty casting and fishing in the bay. I purchased the Okuma Stratus VI spinning rod and paired it with the Pfluegger President PresP40. It is a relatively economical light setup that I am quite happy with.
The overall cost for me for the rod and reel was 100 bucks.
Rod= on sale $39.99
Reel= not on sale (rarely if ever) $59.99
1/2 oz bank sinker= $.50
