Indian Army में अब और ज्यादा Women Officers को Officer बनने का मौका मिलेगा। Central Government ने एक बड़ा Decision लेते हुए Annual Women Officer Vacancies को 80 से बढ़ाकर 144 कर दिया है। यह कदम Army में Gender Balance और Equal Opportunity को बढ़ाने की दिशा में उठाया गया है।

अब Women Officers Army की 13 अलग-अलग Branches में Service दे सकेंगी, जिनमें Service Corps, Air Defence, Engineers, Signals, Intelligence, Aviation, Military Police और Medical Corps शामिल हैं। इससे Army में Women Role पहले से ज्यादा मजबूत और प्रभावशाली होगा।

Experts का मानना है कि इस Decision से सिर्फ Career Opportunities ही नहीं बढ़ेंगी, बल्कि Army की Efficiency और Diversity भी बेहतर होगी। Women Officers Training, Command, Administration और Strategic Decisions में अहम भूमिका निभाएंगी।

फिलहाल Indian Army में Women Representation करीब 6.8% है, जबकि Air Force में 13.5% और Navy में लगभग 6% है। New Policy के बाद यह Percentage और बढ़ने की उम्मीद है।

यह Decision Youth और Society के लिए भी Inspirational है, जो यह Message देता है कि Defence Forces में Career सिर्फ Men तक सीमित नहीं, बल्कि Women के लिए भी बराबर के अवसर हैं।
