A current Safe Streets employee was shot just blocks from his workplace over the weekend, FOX45 News has confirmed.
The victim was shot just before 10 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024, along the 1300 block of N. Carey Street in the Western Police District. The shooting took place within the Sandtown Winchester Safe Streets catchment zone, and less than a half mile away from the Safe Streets site itself.
