At the heart of this journey was our incredible guide and Egyptologist, Hatem Abdel Aziz.
Hatem is a force of nature — wildly passionate, endlessly funny, and astonishingly knowledgeable. He somehow kept 23 people on time, ahead of the crowds, and completely locked into the story of ancient Egypt. Through his words, history stopped being dates and dynasties and became alive.

We learned:
How ancient Egyptians lived day to day
How they worshiped their gods
How they prepared for the afterlife — eternity, not death
Temples weren’t just ruins.
