People's friendship university of Russia is also known as RUDN university because of its Russian name- "Rossiyskiy universitet druzhby narodov".
The university was established in 5th February 1960. The faculty of medicine was also started in 1960 so the Medicine course is being provided in this university since then. Last year in 2020, the university celebrated it's 60th Anniversary.

According to the latest QS University Rankings 2022, RUDN university has a world ranking of 317. So this makes this university among the top 500 medical universities in the world. If we look at the 4icu rankings, RUDN university has a World ranking of 941, and country ranking 17.

RUDN university is recognised by NMC ( National Medical Commission of India), WHO and listed on the World Directory of Medical Schools. The university has got accreditation from ECFMG, MCC ( Medical Council of Canada). Also the university is recognised by all the major medical councils such as GMC (UK), AMC ( Australian Medical Council), hence an MBBS degree from this university is valid globally.

People's friendship university of Russia has Association with more than public and private clinics and 12 major hospitals in the city where the students goes for clinical rotations.
