See how CHOP transports children experiencing a trauma or emergency by ambulance, helicopter or airplane so they can receive the world-class care CHOP can provide.

Children may be transported from another hospital because they require the experience and skills available at CHOP. Other children may be cared for at home when they need an urgent transport to CHOP. With more than a combined ground and air 6,000 transports a year, CHOP has the experience to delivery even the sickest children safely and securely.

The Transport Team include nurses, medics, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), respiratory therapists, physicians, intake clinicians, equipment techs and communication specialists — with the right combination of skills ready 24/7 to respond to the emergency.
