In this video, I unpack and set up my new EHEIM Pickup 200 internal filter, upgrading the filtration and water movement in my aquarium.
This follows on from recent green growth on plants and concerns around flow and oxygen levels, especially in an outdoor, unheated aquarium during UK winter. Rather than using chemicals or quick fixes, I’m improving the fundamentals — filtration, circulation, and oxygenation.
Tank details:
• 180 litre aquarium
• 3 Fantail goldfish
• 1 Weather loach
• Unheated, outdoor setup
• Artificial lighting currently OFF
