Springfield Hellcat RDP Review | Best EDC 2021?

The Springfield Hellcat RDP has a quite a few upgrades that make it worth the upgrade over a standard Springfield Hellcat. Starting with the red dot, it’s a Hex Wasp and sports a 65,000 hour battery life. The brightness is auto adjusting and we noticed it works very well regardless of the lighting condition.

Next up on the Hellcat RDP and most notably is the compensator! It really knocks down the snap of a micro compact pistol and helps shooting this 9mm pistol track even flatter. At times they seem like a gimmick but on this combo it flat out works!

Finally, they changed the ergonomics of the trigger to negate any issues which were associated with the trigger bar not activating on the original Hellcat trigger. We have always liked the trigger on the Hellcat and didn’t experience issues with the first.

All of these come together to give you a package that stands out from other micro compact pistols and at a price that is extremely competitive. This pistol as it sits needs zero upgrades and is ready to fight right out of the box, making this one of the best EDC 2021! In terms of a hellcat holster, we are using the C&G OVERT KYDEX with the Alpha upgrade and truthfully there is probably no better option at this time!
