This hat feels so nostalgic to me and gives me great memories from my childhood as I owned something very similar. This pattern is a great way of using up some left-over yarn and creating a beautiful accessory for your wardrobe all year round. It uses aran/worsted weight yarn. The tutorial is in US terms.

There are two different sizes available S/M and M/L. In this video I am making a size S/M.

For S/M you will need roughly 90g Aran/Worsted weight and a 6mm hook (or any to obtain gauge).
For M/L you will need roughly 140g Chunky weight and a 6.5mm hook (or any to obtain gauge).

Gauge - The Gauge is measured at the end of Round 4...

S/M - Your work should be measuring roughly 15cm in diameter.
M/L - Your work should be measuring roughly 17cm in diameter.
