What you’ll learn:
Periodontal disease is the most common problem in small animal veterinary dentistry. However, it is often poorly treated due to a lack of understanding of the disease process. This lecture will cover the etiology of periodontal disease and how this relates to proper therapy. Following this, we will discuss the pathogenesis and local and systemic ramifications. Finally, we will discuss therapy including dental prophylaxis, homecare, periodontal surgery, and extraction.
