Christchurch City Centre Early Morning and Te Kaha Stadium March 2025

Come with me for an early morning walk through Christchurch city. We start off at the corner of Cashel and Fitzgerald Streets, the sun is barely up, but as we walk up Cashel past all the closed shops we can see the massive Te Kaha Stadium being built.

We take a walk down Barbadoes, it looks like they are upgrading the footpaths around here, so it's hard to find a place to walk. We get a good view around all sides of the stadium, construction has been progressing well, I'll continue to come back and document the stadium as it grows.

As we pass the stadium we end up on Tuam street, and turn up high street where we can see the Mainz School of music engineering and Smash Palace which is a great outdoor bar. Further up High Street we can see even more construction, I can't wait to take a walk up here once all the construction is done!

We finish our walk by going back onto Cashel and through the Crossroads shopping centre, we get a wave from one of the locals, (maybe they know the channel) and end up outside the bus station. There is not too many people about this early, I think they are all going to work, I start work shortly too, so I better go. Thanks for watching!
