Drilling out the aluminum plugs and cleaning the oilways of a 2 litre Nord engine crankshaft. Then inserting new plugs from Classic Alfa. Unlike the other crankshafts for the Nord engine, the 2ltr is nitrided. This makes tapping a thread challenging. Many broken taps result. The more effective option is to hammer in tappered plugs from Classic Alfa. Designed to replicate the factory process. Cleaning out the oilways is essential for any decent rebuild.
