In Japan, Jūgoya (十五夜) is a traditional celebration where people admire the most beautiful autumn moon of the year and give thanks for the harvest.
On this night, it’s customary to offer tsukimi dango (rice dumplings) and susuki (Japanese pampas grass) as symbols of gratitude and seasonal beauty.
Although the sky was cloudy this year and the moon remained hidden, I still enjoyed decorating my home and feeling the quiet charm of this special evening.
