“You’d almost start believing in superstitions…”
For those who follow me a bit, you know that Martin is Gerrit’s friend, and we said goodbye to Gerrit on our last fishing trip.
The superstition part is that Martin always dares to predict he’ll catch at least one wahoo—because it worked out with Gerrit on previous trips (I don’t remember the exact time we caught the wahoo on that trip…).

Anyway…
On the first trip this time, he caught a wahoo after just ten minutes on the water.
On the second trip, he got a wahoo in the last 15 minutes.
On the third trip, he predicted he’d catch one around the middle of the trip—so at 9 AM.

When we were about 100 meters from the spot where Gerrit’s ashes were scattered, Martin said:
“Watch closely… I’ll have one in 10 seconds.”
Superstition or not… his buddy didn’t let him down.

I’m curious what Martin will dare to predict next week…
