Описание: As we prepare for early goose season here in Wisconsin, the question of "how to get dog to retrieve a goose" comes up quite often. We always start with a frozen goose as it discourages them to chomp and try to chew on the bird when figuring out how to pick it up. There will be a learning curve, and going forward we will have to continue to work with her to get comfortable picking up a goose and realize that even tho this big honker is half the size of Bella, she can retrieve it. We will need to get Bella to figure out and be comfortable with how to retrieve a goose, which will involve incremental steps.

Teaching gun dog to retrieve geese is something that many people will need to do as we get ready for the fall. We will be taking incremental steps, taking our time, and doing everything we can to prepare for the coming hunting season, which includes teaching this retriever to pick up a goose.
