Описание: Filmed on 21/04/2022. Trying to keep our luck we had at Derby as we move along the Midland Mainline to Leicester for the gateway for: Birmingham, London ST Pancras, Sheffield and Nottingham (Season 9 Episode 9)

The 'Purple Trains' by East Midlands Railway are now becoming more and more popular with only 222104 fully repainted with the remaining Meridians in the part livery branded. Their interiors are the same but think plans are in place for a full refurbishment. Changes to the East Midlands Railway Regional services as they now extend every 2 hours through to Grimsby Town with a daily service running through to Cleethorpes. Now, the EMR 'Purple Turbostar' trains are now becoming more of a common sight on EMR services. Although, their interiors haven't been refurbished as yet.

Leicester LIP has been very quiet on this day but it did provide plenty of freight action on the avoiding lines. There is one of its kind diesel locomotive based at Leicester LIP after majority was withdrawn after short time in service, the class 58 which does run up and down the yard. A class 26 can also be seen awaiting for restoration.

Cross Country Trains are not as yet running a full timetabled service at the moment but with trains running every 2 hours through to Stansted Airport via Peterborough and hourly through to Cambridge. But, their Leicester to Birmingham New Street services are running ensuring for trains every 30 minutes.
