Budapest Travel Photography With The Fuji X-T30

Описание: We only had one morning left in Budapest, so we decided to wake up early and go venture through the city. We came across Liberty bridge where it looked like it was shut down from the night before because of some event. So this was a perfect spot for photos/video because we can walk all over the bridge without worrying about cars hitting us.


As the sun rose over the buildings and started to shine on the bridge, I noticed that there was an image somewhere with the bridge. I wanted to shoot into the sun so that the bridge was backlit giving me more of a silhouette image. I was worried that I would not be able to get the shot I had in mind or I would have to use a ton of photoshop because there was a pole dancing class going in the middle of the bridge. I started somewhat close to the class but I kept moving further and further down the bridge and loved the leading lines from the railroad track and the bridge itself. The further I moved, the less I could see the class and eventually I could not see them at all.


In the beginning of finding this composition, I was only framing up one arch of the bridge and letting the leading lines of the bridge guide the eye to the arch. But the end composition turned out better than I thought because I still had the same leading line idea, but I was able to use the other arch to frame around the further arch.


After the bridge, we decided to hike up to liberty statue in hopes to get another higher view of the city. At first glance, I thought that the view from the eye was better. But after bringing the images in and editing them, I probably like these images the best from my whole budapest trip. Sometimes checking the image on the back of the screen just doesn't cut it when deciding if an image is good. A little trick I do is that since I am shooting mirrorless, I am able to view the image in the viewfinder, so I will do this to help make the image look larger to me so that I can see the details and figure out what I would need to change in my composition while I am photographing.

We then took a train to Vienna where I spend that afternoon pretty much location scouting for the next days. I spend this time mainly scouting because it was raining and I wanted my photographs to be during the sun. I typically like shooting while it is raining because I do like moodier photos, but I was not that inspired while I walked around. I also realized that I have not really done street photography in my past, so I tried a little while I was scouting. I did not capture anything that I am happy with and I think part of the reason was because I am not inspired by high tourist areas. There were a lot of names bring logos and colors from people I did not like.
I would try to go to the back alleys but I was tired and needed rest for the next day.

I would love to know any advice on street photography. I do want to improve on it and do plan on shooting everyday to do so. It might just be something that I need to constantly work at and figure out what works for me.
