The Pillars' Plan Gets Exposed in the Battle Royale | PART 3

Описание: The CITY OF LIGHTS BATTLE ROYALE is where the double-elimination promise finally pays off and all the unresolved garbage from earlier in the night gets thrown into one ring. Eight people, one last life, and one ticket punched to the finals.

The opening stretch is messy on purpose. Carter Cash and Anuka Gutierrez find each other almost immediately, because of course they do. Carter is still the guy who stepped into Johnny Crash’s spot when Nicky Hyde took him out before Round One ever really started. Anuka is the man Cody Devine shoved into Erza’s place with a contract instead of a challenge. When Anuka eliminates Carter, it feels like the paperwork wins again, like Cody’s shadow is still reaching into a match he is not even in.

The chaos spikes when Nicky Hyde and Johnny Crash collide. Crash is taped up and stubborn just for being here, and Hyde does not give him a moment to breathe. Hyde sends Crash out, eliminating him, and doubling down on what he did earlier in the night. There is no clean slate for Crash, just another ugly exit at Hyde’s hands. Erza Menagerie Tinker finally gets a piece of justice when she eliminates Franky Gonzales. Franky came in with The Pillars’ weight and his family’s expectations on his back, but in this moment he is just another body hitting the floor while Erza reminds everyone that she was never supposed to be erased from this tournament in the first place.

From there, the match tilts hard. Major Glory picks his spot and dumps Anuka Gutierrez, finally cutting off the contract-shaped noose Cody Devine had around Anuka’s neck. Nicky Hyde answers by eliminating ERZA, ripping away the one clear Rising revenge beat and making sure his footprints are all over this match. At this point, the scoreboard is ugly: Hyde has become the storm center, with two eliminations, shaping the match in his own image. The collision is inevitable. Major Glory catches Hyde at the right moment and throws him out, and the building reacts like they just watched a man punch a hole in The Pillars’ playbook.

That leaves the worst-case scenario for The Rising: Major Glory, battered but surging, against “ALL BUSINESS” Dean Mercer, the one Pillars representative whose whole job description is “ruin someone’s night.” Glory fights like a man who thinks he can drag the whole City of Lights idea back into the light by himself, but Dean Mercer plays his role exactly the way The Pillars pay him to. One bad angle, one hard shot, and Glory is sent crashing out. Dean Mercer stands alone in the ring, winner of the CITY OF LIGHTS BATTLE ROYALE, carrying two things into the tournament finals: a resume built on other people’s broken chances, and the cold confirmation that The Pillars’ muscle can still shut the lights off whenever things start to look too hopeful.
