As part of the SOE EduTalk series, a session titled Reimagining Education at Scale: Partnerships, Purpose, and the Power of Teachers was held at SOE LUMS. The talk was delivered by Dr. Rizma Butt, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of 1 Million Teachers (1MT), and moderated by Dr. Tayyaba Tamim, Dean & Professor, SOE LUMS.
The conversation highlighted teachers as a critical force for systemic transformation, particularly within under-resourced and complex education systems, and underscored the role of strategic partnerships in enabling change at scale.
Drawing on 1MT’s international experience and academic collaborations, Dr. Butt shared perspectives on how research, innovation, and policy-aligned approaches can support teacher empowerment and strengthen the link between academic institutions and large-scale educational impact.
