In this video first of all I will tell about freezing the fish for cooking next day and then I will tell about the recipe of fish curry.
Witten recipe is as below:
Marination:
Fish 500 grams
lemon juice 2 tbsp
chilli powder 1.5 tsp
whole spice powder 1.5 tsp
salt 1 tsp
turmeric 1 tsp
INGREDIENTS FOR CURRY:
fish 500 gms
cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
fenugreek seeds 1/4 tsp
a handful of curry leaves
coriander powder 2 tsp
cumin powder 1 tsp
tomato puree 3 tsp
yogurt 2 tbsp
onions diced 2 medium sized
tomatoes diced 1 big sized
ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
Recipe:
First marinate the fish with all the marinade ingredients.
Now if one wants to freeze the fish then let it arrange in a container with layers of some cling film or aluminum foil in between so it does not stick to each other and defrost easily.
Now for curry making:
Pour some oil in pan and add mustard seeds, kalonji seeds, fenugreek seeds, curry leaves, cumin seeds, saute and then add onions and saute until little brown. Add ginger garlic paste and tomatoes.. saute for a while.
Add whipped yogurt and cook on high flame to evaporate the excess water. Now add all the powdered spices and tomato puree and cook until oil separates.
keep adding one tbsp on water in between the frying process to make a good and fine gravy. Now when all the tomatoes and onions r well combined and melted, add water of your desired consistency for the gravy.
On the other hand shallow fry marinated fish until the gravy gets ready.
bring a boil in the gravy and then add the fried fish in gravy carefully and cover and cook for 10 minutes.
Ready to serve.
