Описание: District Apostle Noel Edward Barnes retired by Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider during a divine service in Silvertown (Cape Town, South Africa) on Sunday, 18 December 2016, after serving as an Apostle for more than 30 years. From December 1996 until his retirement, he led the then Cape District, supported by 11 Apostles and 24 Bishops. Upon his ordination as District Apostle in 1996, Noel Barnes expressed his heartfelt desire to lead “a Happy Bride” home. Fittingly, the final anthem for this divine service, A Happy Bride, was composed for the occasion by John Rodriques, music leader of the New Apostolic Church Southern Africa.

Hear our thanks! Share our joy! Here we stand in Godly awe of our wondrous future goal.

We tell the story: Christ lives in glory and He has promised His return.
This makes us joyful and O, so cheerful and fuels our lamps of faith to brightly burn.

Happy, we strive with saintly cheer; happy to know the Groom is near.
Soon comes the promised day, soon we are drawn away. There on high, where clothed in light, He shall appear.
