The 1998 Atlantic Hurricane Season was one of the most destructive, costly, and deadly seasons in recorded history, being the 2nd-deadliest on record. Mostly being contributed by Hurricane Georges and Hurricane Mitch. The season ranks 10th in most active season per Accumulative Cyclone Energy (ACE). Mitch it tied with Hurricane Dean as the 5th-most intense Atlantic hurricane on record at 905mbars. Hurricane Bonnie at the time became the costliest hurricane on record to not be retired when it impacted the Carolinas as a Category 2, and as of the making it still is an ongoing revolving name in its respective naming list.
