Klinefelter syndrome is a genetic condition in males caused by the presence of one extra X chromosome.
🔹 Basic Definition
Normal male chromosomes: 46, XY
Klinefelter syndrome: 47, XXY (most common type)
🔹 Cause
Happens due to error during cell division (nondisjunction)
Not inherited from parents
🔹 Common Features
Tall stature with long legs
Small, firm testes
Low testosterone levels
Delayed or incomplete puberty
Gynecomastia (breast enlargement)
Reduced facial and body hair
Infertility or low sperm count
Learning difficulties (especially language)
