Описание: Franco Corelli sang the most famous aria from 'Andrea Chenier' in a spectacular Gala Concert conducted by Leopold Stokowski in the Academy of Music, Philadelphia, in 1963. Among the other items, Stokowski began with Verdi's 'Force of Destiny' Overture, Joan Sutherland sang the 'Mad Scene' from 'Lucia di Lammermoor,' Susan Starr played Rachmaninov's 'Paganini Rhapsody' and Corelli sang an aria from Puccini's 'Tosca.' The complete concert has been issued for the very first time on 'Testament' SBT 1513.
