More information about Dawnless Days is an ambitious Lord of the Rings total conversion project set during the War of the Ring, aiming to bring Middle-earth to life through large-scale strategy and lore-faithful design. The project is developed by a dedicated collective of passionate creators united by a shared love for Tolkien’s world and a long-term vision of a fully custom Middle-earth campaign.

Dawnless Days Total War focuses on what defines the Total War experience: immersive battles and unique factions. Custom units, detailed battlefield and siege maps, and original Gondorian settlements using bespoke architecture are already well underway. The team is also developing custom creatures such as trolls, wargs, and mûmakil, all featuring hand-made animations.

Currently in early development, the mod emphasises multiplayer gameplay. A full campaign is a work in progress, with a custom-built tool being developed to allow for an accurate and playable map of Middle-earth in the future. As development continues, Dawnless Days grows stronger with every release, pushing closer to a true Lord of the Rings campaign experience.
