About The Year of Spectacular Men
The Year of Spectacular Men is about a young woman (played by Madelyn Deutch) just out of college who starts and ends relationships with several men while trying to emerge from her perceived failures of post-college adulthood while leaning on her complicated mother and sister for support. Zoey Deutch plays her sister, Sabrina, a movie star with a serious boyfriend, played by Avan Jogia. Lea Thompson who also directs, portrays their yoga-guru mother who has a 25-year-old girlfriend, played by Melissa Bologna.
