-- Hi everyone, I'm Kelly Temple from Eastside KIA! Today I'm really excited as we're going to be taking at look at our 2013 KIA Sportage.

With its wide stance and robust design, Sportage is a full-fledged cross over utility vehicle. It has sleek modern styling combined with exceptional fit & finish. It has an easy to load top hinged tail gate, integrated turn signals (Rear view mirrors) and off road capability (AWD).

And the Kia Sportage provides exceptional value including a 5 year fully comprehensive warranty.

TRIM
The 2013 Sportage comes in three trim levels:
1. The well equipped LX model which starts at $23,645
2. The sporty EX model which starts $29,445
3. And the impressive SX -- Turbo model which lists at $39,245

Sportage is one of those SUV's that is designed to be a mid-size vehicle. It provides ample room for cargo storage...enough room to seat five passengers comfortably. But it's the size of vehicle that makes it very easy to maneuver in traffic or shopping mall parking lots.

FWD / AWD
The Sportage comes in both a FWD or the impressive DYNAMAX INTELLIGENT AWD system. This AWD power train can actually anticipate wheel slippage before it occurs...engaging automatically to help maintain better traction and control in all kinds of weather.

ENGINE
Sportage is available in two 4-cylinder power plants:
Standard is the 2.4 Litre. A responsive engine rated at 176 HP and 29 MPG in the city and 43 MPG on the highway.
The SX trim also comes standard with a Gas Direct Injection turbo-charged engine with 260 horsepower, giving you V6 type performance with 4 cylinder fuel efficiency.

INTERIOR
Let me take a moment and show you some of the features that we receive a lot of positive feed back on from our customers:
• It has a very roomy interior. (Shot of five people sitting in car)...people are always surprised by how much room there really is inside the car.
• All models come with heated front seats for those cold days...and blue tooth for hands free communication.
• Inside each door is a holder for a bottle of water which keeps them from rolling around the floor of your car.
• There is a USB connection for media devices. And it has three 12 V connections; two in the front and one in the rear (shot of rear trunk) which people love especially when they go camping.
• With the rear seat folded down, there is 54.6 cubic feet of storage space. That's like putting almost 56 basket balls in the back of your car.
• Families with small children like the easy access to the child restraint hooks.
• And there is a very popular PANORAMIC SUNROOF which is available on EX and SX trim levels.
So it's time to go for a drive...we're going to take out our EX -- FWD model.

• SMART KEY -- The Smart Key is such a great option because you never have to search for your keys.
o Just walk up...push the button on your door handle.
o Put your foot on the brake and press the button...
o And it has a proximity sensor for your tailgate...just walk up and it automatically unlocks...then relocks when you walk away.

• Sportage has three interior trim levels
o Standard cloth on LX models
o Cloth and upgraded stitched leather on EX -- EX Lux models
o Black leather with sport cloth insert on SX models


• When I get behind the wheel of the Sportage, I have two quick first impressions:
o Driver focused cockpit which includes an ECO reminder in the instrument cluster so you know when you're driving most fuel efficiently.

• SECOND: Hands free capability of the media centre
o HANDS FREE VOICE COMMAND CONTROL
o I can DIAL A FRIEND without taking my hands off the steering wheel...that's good news with Alberta's new distracted driving laws.
o But I can also do cool things like CHANGE THE RADIO STATION using my voice.
o UVO was designed to allow you to control music and communication...all hands free.
o And it's extremely easy to pair your phone...just follow the onscreen instructions.
o The JUKEBOX feature allows you to actually store your own music in the system.

• I would describe the drive as SPORTY, TIGHT, SMOOTH...it's FUN TO DRIVE! Even though this model is a FWD, the weight of the engine is over the drive wheels giving it a very sold feel to the drive, even in snowy conditions.
