Описание: Foster care remains an important part of society. Unfortunately, very little attention is paid to the travails of young people in foster care even in 2021. Recent reports have revealed that less than 5% of young people with foster care experience graduate post-secondary education.

These unfortunate statistics can be attributed to the lack of care in the system, leading youth to become victims of sex-trafficking and mental health patients. CAN YOU IMAGINE THE STATISTICS of success since this global pandemic ?!

The injustice in the system and white supremacy have worsened the case, which is where Ángela Quijada-Banks is looking to raise awareness about the plight of young BIPOC in foster care and how supportive adults can help!

The Black Foster Youth Handbook has been going under some significant updates since the release on September 29,2020 , let's unpack them and learn how you as a child welfare professional ( GALS, Foster /resource parent, social workers, therapists, foster care nonprofit or any supporter of young people in foster care can support their success and healing journey.
