‼️In 1982, the fishing boat Investor was found drifting off Craig, Alaska — burned to the hull, silent, and carrying a secret that stunned the entire fishing world. On board were the remains of the skipper, Mark Coulthurst, his wife, their two children, and four young crew members. Investigators believed they were killed before the boat was set on fire, but almost nothing else was clear. Suspicion soon turned to a young deckhand named John Kenneth Peel, who was seen near the Investor hours before the tragedy. Peel was charged with the murders — but after two lengthy trials, he walked free. Jurors said the evidence wasn’t strong enough.
