When Dr Samantha Pillay began her career as the first female adult urological surgeon in South Australia, only 4% of surgeons in Australia were women. That journey revealed the "tax of disbelief"; the extra emotional and professional labour required for women to be recognized for their expertise.

"Unconscious Bias" is a 4-minute cinematic mirror to these moments. Using high-fidelity AI cinematography, the film uncovers the subtle dynamics that shape our professional lives, moving from the operating theatre to the boardroom, the architecture studio, and the mine site.
