Remembering K Balagopal - 13th Memorial Meeting- South First

Описание: The Human Rights Forum (HRF) organised the 13th memorial meeting in honour of human rights activist K Balagopal.
Speakers included noted writer Arundhati Roy, senior advocate Mihir Desai, lawyer Clifton D' Rozario, HRF member, and sociologist Kalpanna Kannabiran.
The event was marked with the launch of a book written by Balagopal - ‘Court theerpulu samajika nyayam'.
On the current regime, Roy said that if you sell the people a mythic past when they were once glorious, you can take away their future.
Clifton said the country is facing a fascist force and a single entity can’t fight them. He called for unity, and not just in elections.
