Two events I’ve loved since moving to Jersey are the Norman Market and the Fête de St Helier.

Every summer, St Helier comes alive — starting with the Norman Market in Royal Square, a traditional French market bringing authentic Norman food, crafts, and culture to the island. Rooted in the historic relationship between Jersey and Normandy, it celebrates centuries of shared heritage, trade, and traditions.

Next is one of my favourite memories every summer: Fête de St Helier. This annual festival honours St Helier, Jersey’s patron saint, filling the town with street food, live music, local stalls, family activities, and an incredible community atmosphere. It’s deeply tied to Jersey’s identity — and truly one of the best things to do in Jersey during summer.
