Описание: A tribute to KAKIA SKALA .Lanscape and narrow gauge trains,Alco dl 537,Alsthom,Man 1,Man4 .Kakia skala is formed by the southeastern edges of [[Geraneia | Gerania]] mountains. In ancient times it was called '' '' [[Skironides Stones]] '' ''. Located between the valley of [[Megara | Megara]] and the region [[Kineta Attikis | Kineta]]. Since ancient times was a natural barrier to overland traffic between Athens and [[Peloponnese | Peloponnese]]. Today corresponding to 46 to 52 km (from Athens) of [[National Road 8a (Greece) | National Highway 8]] (New National Road Athens-Patras), which has 5 [[tunnel | tunnel]] under Kakia Skala (top three in the direction towards Corinth and two small in the direction towards Athens), constructed between 1999 and 2006. Previously the New National Road passed without tunnels from the region, resulting in sharper turns and slowing of traffic. Lower, quite closer to the sea, passing the [[National Road 8 (Greece) | National Highway 8]] (the old road), while among them old (close) railway line [[Piraeus Railways - Athens - Peloponnese | SPAP]].
