Domestic Violence automatically brings up the image of a battered woman, the abuser being Male.
But what if the abuser is a woman? As a lesbian navigating life is already complicated, homophobia exists, some families have issues with same-sex relationships. It's difficult enough, to disclose abuse, to confide is often not an option for fear of betraying the community.
Parental alienation, happens to lesbians too. You raise a daughter to call you Mum, your relationship ends, but the child is not yours biologically, that's how the courts see it.
