Raphael Lea'i, 18 year-old, probably got on your radar when he became the top goalscorer of the OFC u17 at just 14 years of age. Fastforward 4 years and he's had plenty of accomplishments while still being at the early stages of his carreer, currently playing in his home country for Henderson Eels, he trialled at Wellington Phoenix with 16, and debuted for the National Team of Futsal at 17, yes, Raphael is both international for Football and Futsal. Data of him in his domestic competitions are hard to come by both you come accross some crazy reports like him scoring 9 goals in 2 games and being in the race for top goalscorer with 17 years.
As a player, he looks like a very exciting prospect, very rough around the edges but very entertaining to watch. Pacy winger with crazy dribble moves, provides a lot of width but since Solomon Islands NT play a heavy transitional football, Raphael won't appear in many areas of crossing, instead he either creates chances with diagonal through balls thanks to his wonderful vision or tries to 1v1 the defenders in order to unbalance the opposition's defence, likes to promote numerical superiority situations and his a very unpredictable player.
I believe Raphael my be headed to iconic status for his coutrny and surely there are plenty of clubs with his eyes on him, this might be the year when he finally make a move.
