Durham Technical Community College 50th Anniversary Mural Project

Описание: This beautiful mural by Emily Eve Weinstein is more than a work of fine art. It represents, Durham, NC, higher education and a rich history, A lot of work went into making this mural a reality even before it was designed and painted by Weinstein. Isaac Thomas and Ashley Mattheis came up with the idea of giving the mural to DTCC for the college's 50th anniversary. They wrote the proposal, and delivered it to the Student Senate and the administration. The team also chose the artist and requested major changes while Weinstein was creating it.

Tom Russo worked with the team on the proposal and supported the project. Donna McNally also shepherded the mural from the point where the proposal was delivered to the Student Senate through its installation.

Getting this beautiful piece of art was a labor of love for many of us and a huge project for the student body and much of the faculty and staff.
