The Mount of Beatitudes is a small mountain in northern Israel in Galilee between Capernaum and Tabgha. The Mount is believed to be the site where Jesus delivered the Sermon on Mount. He gave the Eight Beatitudes at the Sermon on the Mount.
The architect Antonio Barluzzi was commissioned to design and build the church that would reflect the words of the Beatitudes. The Church was built in 1937.
This is a beautiful location and a peaceful place, a must see, if you are a believer and you are looking to visit holy sites in Israel.
A year ago I visited the Sea of Galilee and wanted to visit the Mount of Beatitudes, but due to COVID many sites were closed for visitors and recently everything reopened again.
