Jones is one of only two towns in the Philippines named after William Atkinson Jones who authored the Philippine Autonomy Act of 1916.
Jones is known for Pinilisa, a unique organic plum-colored rice known not only in the region but also in other countries, due to its unique fragrance and flavor compared to ordinary rice.
San Agustin is at the foot of the Sierra Madre Mountains and a crossroad of the provinces of Quirino, Aurora and Isabela.
San Agustin, a town in Isabela province, stands out as the “Crossbred Carabao Capital of the Philippines” due to its remarkable achievements in carabao crossbreeding.
