With a light south-westerly wind promising perfect conditions south of the Mourne Mountains, it is a perfect day for a low-level flight around the coast from Newcastle to Kilkeel.

Followed by a diversion to Whitecross to visit the Ballymoyer Sunflower Festival...

Life has a habit of getting in the way and sometimes it feels as if you just hanging on and being taken for a ride. Totally out of control with no way to get yourself back on track.

The funny thing is, that you are not alone. Every single one of us has, at some point, been on the border of a mental health crisis. Some even went all the way...

My aim with my flying is to raise awareness of how "common" mental health problems really are.

I ask my passengers to share their stories and how they cope. While introducing them to the joy of flying, in the majority of cases the first time, a light aircraft.

Yes, some of these flights might be long and boring for some. But keep in mind, it is not about you. It is about the passengers prioritizing themselves and letting go of their stress and life struggles for a full hour.
