Congress Working Committee ke member aur purv mantri Naseem Khan ne Supreme Court ke taja interim order ka swagat kiya hai, jisme Waqf Amendment Act ke kai provisions par rok laga di gayi hai.

Yeh order 15 September 2025 ko aaya, jab Supreme Court ne BJP government ke is naye kanoon ke khilaf daakhil petitions par sunwai ki. Press release ke mutabik, Khan ne is faisle ko Modi sarkar ke ‘arrogance’ par ek thappad bataya, kehkar ki yeh Constitution ke khilaf thi.

Khan ne kaha, “Supreme Court ka yeh faisla Modi sarkar ko aaina dikhaata hai. Yeh sochte hain ki parliamentary majority se Constitution ko daba sakte hain, lekin aaj ka order unke arrogance par thappad hai.

Yeh ek reminder hai ki koi bhi majority Constitution ko chup nahi kara sakti.” Unhone Congress ke stand ko dohraaya, jo shuru se is amendment ke khilaf thi, kehkar ki yeh minority rights aur Waqf boards ki autonomy par attack hai.
