Clear signs of a good workout session (not overdone, not junk volume):
During / immediately after
Feel energetic & clear-headed, not drained
Mild muscle pump, not joint pain
Breathing normalizes quickly (1–3 min)
Posture feels taller / open, not collapsed
Few hours later
Body feels “used”, not stiff
Good appetite
No sharp soreness or nagging pain
Next day
Light DOMS is okay, but you can still move freely
Strength feels stable (not weaker)
Motivation to train again is intact
Long-term signs (most important)
Weights/reps slowly improve
Better mind–muscle connection (like you felt with lats recently)
Sleep quality improves
🚩 Red flags (means session was bad or too much)
Exhausted, sleepy whole day
Joint pain or stiffness next morning
Irritability / low motivation
Needing 3–4 days to feel normal
