Nissan YHP R91CP is one of Group C class race car which was a category of motorsport, introduced by the FIA in 1982. Group C was used in the FIA World Endurance Championship and other sports car racing series around the globe. The Group C racing cars are not as fast as today's LMP1 racing car especially in the corner, but they were quite fast on the straight. The Peugeot WM P88, one of the Group C racing car, recorded the highest speed of 407kph (253mph) at the end of the 6km long Mulsanne straight in the 1988 24 Hours of Le Mans race. The Group C racing series ended in 1993.
